Norman Terrace
A combination of Renovation and New Build work has transformed this 1970’s house into a contemporary haven, with both indoors and outdoors areas now making the most of striking views over Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains.
New living and master bedroom wings were added to the existing structure, opening the residence up to its environment with extensive windows and sliding doors. Transition from the older insular areas of the house to its modern extensions is made natural through spacial and furniture arrangements according to summer/winter and nighttime/daytime uses of the spaces.
Outdoors, intimate courtyards, selective planting and movable louvre screens were designed in response to the owners’ concerns for privacy and security.
