Plumbing World

The original building, a juxtaposition of three structures created at different times, was stripped down to its most recent addition, and built upon to create a functional commercial space for Plumbing World.

A cost effective extension was erected to create a front of shop showroom and a dedicated area for trade dealings, adding to the existing storage and trade area at the back which features a mezzanine level.

Stepping the building’s façade down helped achieve a unified look for the structure.  Black long run vertical cladding, anodized aluminum joinery and sun louvers result in a modern industrial look.  This is balanced by cedar bevel back weatherboards at the building’s entrance, to create a warm, welcoming access point for customers.

Throughout the building, running costs are kept low thanks to insulation above standards.
